Pickups across Brooklyn

In Williamsburg, parking is hard on a Saturday night. Park Slope has one-way streets. From Bay Ridge, the airports are a long drive. The Belt Parkway follows the whole shoreline between you and JFK.

So the pickup window is built from the address. Dispatch fixes it at booking, and the chauffeur is on the block before the time on the reservation.

Here are pickup notes for 12 Brooklyn neighborhoods.

Williamsburg

Bedford Avenue and the Northside, plus the hotel blocks over toward Wythe.

Greenpoint

Manhattan Avenue and the Newtown Creek edge, north to the Pulaski Bridge.

DUMBO

Cobblestone blocks under the Manhattan Bridge. Agree on a meeting point.

Brooklyn Heights

Promenade side streets and the Court Street corridor.

Cobble Hill

Smith Street and the Boerum Hill line.

Downtown Brooklyn

Jay Street, Livingston Street and the Borough Hall offices.

Park Slope

Fifth and Seventh Avenue, plus the Prospect Park West side.

Prospect Heights

Vanderbilt Avenue and the Barclays Center block.

Bedford-Stuyvesant

Nostrand, Bedford and the Fulton Street corridor.

Bushwick

Wyckoff Avenue, the Myrtle Avenue line and the loft blocks.

Sunset Park

Fourth and Fifth Avenue, and the Industry City sheds.

Bay Ridge

Third and Fifth Avenue, and the Shore Road side.

What slows a Brooklyn pickup

On many Brooklyn blocks the car can't stop right at your door. There may be a bus lane, or a bike lane between the curb and the car. A delivery truck may be double-parked outside, or alternate side parking may leave cars packed on one side of the street.

Two details help most. Give us the cross street and the side of the building you'll come out of. On a cobblestone block in DUMBO or a one-way street in Cobble Hill, they make the pickup much easier.

If your building has a buzzer and no doorman, give us a phone number you'll answer. Your chauffeur will call that number when they arrive.

In winter, plowed snow can block the parking lane. If it does, the meeting point moves to the corner, and your chauffeur tells you the new spot on the day.

Routes out of Brooklyn

From most of Brooklyn, the usual route to JFK is the Belt Parkway. It is the shortest way, and its traffic changes from hour to hour. The pickup window is set around that drive.

To LaGuardia, we take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) north, then the Grand Central Parkway. The BQE is slow through Downtown Brooklyn and Williamsburg. From South Brooklyn, LaGuardia often takes longer than JFK, even though it costs less. Our guide to airport routes from Brooklyn and Queens compares the BQE, the Belt Parkway and the Van Wyck.

Four crossings go into Manhattan, and each comes out in a different place. The Brooklyn Bridge comes out at the Civic Center, the Manhattan Bridge at Canal Street and Chinatown, and the Williamsburg Bridge at Delancey Street on the Lower East Side. The Hugh L. Carey Tunnel (many people still call it the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel) comes out in the Financial District and has a toll. Your chauffeur picks the crossing by where you're going and the time of day.

Newark and Teterboro mean crossing Manhattan or Staten Island first. They cost the same as JFK, even though they're farther.

How Brooklyn trips are priced

Airport rides have one flat rate, the same in any traffic. You book days with several stops by the hour. If your day mixes Brooklyn stops with meetings in Manhattan, Queens or the Bronx, it stays one hourly booking, and the same car goes with you across the river.

Pick the class by how many bags you have. The fleet page lists the bags each car takes. See all our services. See all rates.
