One vehicle for the whole group

With four sedans, someone can still be in traffic when the photographer is ready. In one 12-seat Sprinter, everyone arrives together.

Count the bags as well as the people. A Luxury Sprinter takes 10 large and 2 small bags. A Business SUV takes up to 5 passengers with 3 large and 3 small bags, and a First Class sedan up to 3 passengers with 2 large and 1 small. Eight people with a suitcase each won't fit in two sedans, but they fit in one Sprinter.

Our Limo Sprinter and Jet Sprinter have different cabins. The Limo Sprinter has quilted bench seating with a bar and a screen, good for a group celebrating between venues. The Jet Sprinter has two rows of captain's chairs facing a screen, good for a group that wants to sit and talk.

Why we run Sprinters and no stretch limousines

A stretch is long and low, and hard to turn into a narrow driveway. A Sprinter is tall and shorter for what it carries, and you can stand up inside.

Because you can stand inside, your group walks in through one sliding door. Gowns and dinner jackets don't get creased getting in and out.

The height also helps your photographer, who can work inside the cabin without kneeling in the aisle.

There is more room for luggage too. A stretch limousine has very little. A Sprinter has a luggage area behind the rear bench.

Weddings

Wedding transportation

On a wedding day, the car for the ceremony has to be there before the guests, and the car for the reception has to wait while the photos run long. We book weddings by the hour, and the waiting is part of the booking.

The 3-hour minimum covers one ceremony transfer. A full day with the ceremony, photos, reception and an after party can run 6 to 10 hours on one booking, with the car waiting at each address. Our guide to planning wedding transportation in NYC builds the timeline backward from the ceremony.

Prom and milestones

Booking prom

For prom, book one vehicle for the whole group, with a fixed pickup time and a licensed chauffeur. With one vehicle, nobody leaves at a different time. Our guide to planning prom transportation in NYC covers school dates, New York alcohol law and the night hour by hour.

Birthdays, anniversaries and graduation dinners work the same way. There are two fixed times, the dinner reservation and the end of the night, and an hourly booking keeps the car with you in between.

Other group nights

We also drive groups to bachelor and bachelorette nights, homecoming, concerts at arenas with nowhere to park, and family reunions with flights landing at three airports on one afternoon.

Book these nights by the hour, and the car stays with you the whole time. The 3-hour minimum covers a short night.

Decide early if the ride home is part of the same booking. Book the ride home with the rest of the night. The car then stays with you.

How event bookings are priced

You can book any class by the hour, with a 3-hour minimum. The car stays with you for the whole event. See hourly rates.

Airport rides are the exception, with one flat rate. See all our services, or compare the cars class by class.

Planning a group booking

Go through these five points when you book. It saves calling for a second car at the last minute.

  1. Count people and bags separately. A group of 12 with 12 suitcases needs a different booking than 12 people with hand luggage.
  2. Start with the time that can't move. We set the pickup from your ceremony or flight time and plan the rest backward from it.
  3. Decide if the car should wait. If you'll spend an hour or more at one address, keeping the car by the hour usually costs less than two one-way bookings.
  4. List every address in order, photo stops included. Your chauffeur plans the route from the full list.
  5. Send us the trip at least 1 hour before pickup. For a Sprinter by the hour, we reply with the fare and a payment link.

Cars for groups and events

The Jet Sprinter at the top of the page has the same 12 seats and 10 large and 2 small bags as the Limo Sprinter. Only the cabin is different. These four cars cover the rest of an event day.

  • Up to 5 passengers
  • 3 large and 3 small bags
  • Hourly, 3-hour minimum

Event pickups around the city

Some venues need a pickup plan. City Hall weddings are by appointment at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau, 141 Worth Street. After a show, Columbus Avenue between 62nd and 66th Streets is packed with people leaving Lincoln Center. Your car waits a block west on Amsterdam Avenue. At Yankee Stadium, we meet you a few blocks away on the Grand Concourse or Jerome Avenue. At Citi Field and the tennis center, a corner on Roosevelt Avenue gets you out faster.
